This was the first model I made with a flying pose. I got hooked after this conversion and started doing it to all my flyers after that. The miniature standing to the left is the same Beastmaster on foot, just in case the Manticore would be shot dead. It's usually the other way around, so the Beastmaster actually pops off. Se below for picture. The Beastmaster that is shipped with the Manticore is horrible if you ask me. He does not look like a Dark Elf, he's more of a wild Wood Elf or something... I made the Beastmaster from a 6th ed Beastmaster torso and head, I just filed off his hair. The bottom half is from a 5th Cold One Knight. I gave him the Sea Dragon Cloak the original Manticore Beastmaster came with. Big Cat. The Beastmaster comes off easily. He tends to die quickly. I see him as 2 extra wounds for the Manticore... Here he is on foot if the Manticore would get killed before him.
