A Beastmaster on foot was a nice upgrade to the War Hydra in 6th ed. I liked giving him the Web Of Shadows for a little bit extra punch in close combat. I usually challenged with the Beastmaster and gain a couple of over kill points for CR... They removed this character option in the 7th ed series rulebook.
